Shandford is an independent Home but is registered with and inspected by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) on a regular basis.

Comments made by residents and families during recent inspections included:

- staff are 'lovely', 'wonderful' and 'kind'
- staff are 'patient and professional'
- staff take the time to make conversation with visitors
- the Home always looks nice and we are proud of where we live
- people say they feel 'completely safe' and well cared for

The Home is managed and run by qualified staff.

UNANNOUNCED INSPECTION
We had an Unannounced Inspection on 22nd July 2008. We are delighted to report that we have been awarded a 3 star rating(excellent)which is the top rating.
